Recently at the Mall of America, a security guard confronted a man wearing a shirt with the phrase, “Jesus Saves.” The security guard asked the man to remove the shirt or leave the mall. In stating his reason, the security guard said, “Jesus is associated with religion and it’s offending people.” The man refused to do either and ultimately was able to continue shopping. Commenting on the situation, Pastor Chase Thompson said, “He should sue them into oblivion. This wouldn’t have happened anywhere in the US until very recently, and it certainly wouldn’t have happened if he’d had a pride shirt on and even 50 people complained.â€
