Rep. Santos Could Be Removed From Congress If Proven He Broke Campaign Finance Laws

The chair of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said that Rep. George Santos (R-NY) would be removed from Congress if it is proven that he broke campaign finance laws.  Santos admitted to lying about his biography after winning his election in November, but further evidence has surfaced through numerous outlets about what appears to be misuse of campaign funds for personal use by Santos.  Additionally, questions about how he was able to lend $705K to his campaign when he reported a salary of only $55K in 2020.
