Italy’s most wanted fugitive Matteo Messina Denaro was finally arrested after three decades on Monday at a health clinic in Palermo, Sicily. Messina Denaro, top boss of Sicily’s Cosa Nostra, is charged with two 1992 bombings that killed law enforcement officials and for the murder of a Mafia turncoat’s son. “Messina Denaro was the last godfather, he represented all the secrets of Cosa Nostra. It is the end of a myth and the organization will have to cope with this,” said expert in organized crime at England’s Essex University, Anna Sergi.
