Life-Threatening Storms Continue to Slam California

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.9

The start of the week brought more life-threatening weather to millions of people in California who have been enduring pounding storms since New Year’s Eve.  In one day an atmospheric river storm dumped more than a month’s worth of rain that caused flash floods, rock slides and avalanches.  The death toll from storm-related fatalities are reported to be higher than from California wildfires over the past two years.  It is expected that the storm will bring more flooding and mudslides across the state this weekend.  Biden has declared a state of emergency which will release federal assistance for disaster relief.
