Investment Chief Realistic But Hopeful On U.S. Economy

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.8

Darrell Cronk who is the Chief Investment Officer for Wealth and Investment Management says that while the first half of 2023 may be “particularly difficult” for American consumers, he thinks that the second half of the year holds improvement.  His remarks came in response to a prediction by former Fed-Chair Alan Greenspan that recession is a “likely outcome” of current economic trends.  While Cronk agrees with Greenspan, he still thinks that there could be a “strong rally” in the second half of 2023. Nevertheless, Cronk admits, “there’s a lot of pain to go…between here to there.”
