DOD Segregates Military Units On Vaccine Mandate Regulations

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.6| Relevance 4.7

In the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) the Department of Defense’s (DOD) COVID vaccine mandate for all military personnel was rescinded, however, in December the Army advised that it does not apply to National Guard and Reserve troops.  Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin, Family Research Council’s executive vice president responded, “There should be no question that the repeal of this mandate applies to all elements of the military, active, reserve, and National Guard.”  Dwight Stirling, CEO of the Center for Law and Military Policy said, “The Army is incorrect. The NDAA’s repeal of the vaccine mandate supersedes any and all DOD directives.”
