Twitter CEO Elon Musk claims former Twitter employees “had an internal Slack channel unironically called ‘Fauci Fan Club.’” The old Slack group chat was mentioned in a thread by Musk on Wednesday in his reply to venture capitalist Marc Andreessen’s criticism of an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot defending Fauci.  The AI bot was defending Fauci after Musk accused the doctor of lying about “gain-of-function” research when he tweeted a September 9, 2021 Newsweek report titled, “Fauci Was ‘Untruthful’ to Congress About Wuhan Lab Research, New Documents Appear to Show.”  Musk did not give any further details about the Slack channel.
