Russia has rejected a Ukrainian offer for peace talks within a two-month time frame. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba proposed the UN host the conference and called on UN Secretary-General António Guterres to serve as mediator.  Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky called the proposal “diplomacy 404” referring to the computer error message. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy  had proposed a 10-step “peace formula” in October which included a war tribunal to hold the Kremlin accountable for war crimes committed in Ukraine.
