North Korean Drones Violate South Korean Airspace

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.8

Days after test-launching two ballistic missiles, North Korea has sent drones into South Korean airspace.  South Korea responded by firing warning shots and scrambling aircraft to intercept the drones. It is not clear if the drones were shot down.  South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported the drones were spotted flying in Gimpo, Ganghwa Island and Paju, all areas in northwest South Korea. It is the first time since 2017 that North Korean drones have crossed into South Korea. It is estimated that North Korea has about 300 drones.
