Democratic House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (MD-D) is openly critical of his Democratic Senate counterparts for failing to pass any spending bills before the end of the fiscal year which ended in September forcing the rushed vote on the 4,000+ page, $1.7 trillion spending bill which was just released Tuesday. Passed by the Senate and expected to pass the House, Hoyer says of the last-minute bill, “Unfortunately, the United States Senate has become enamored with doing an omnibus at the last second.” He added, “That ought to be a disappointment for every member of this body and every American.”
