Taliban In Afghanistan Ban Women From Higher Education

The Taliban government in Afghanistan has ruled that women can no longer attend universities. The latest decree from the Taliban means that the highest level of education that Afghan girls can attain is sixth-grade as they have been banned from attending middle school and high school since the Taliban took power in August 2021. The measure has drawn condemnation from the United States and even other Muslim countries such as Qatar and Pakistan which urged the the government to reconsider the ban.
