It is reported that House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) will campaign against the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill.  According to Punchbowl News, McCarthy will break with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Wednesday at a lunch meeting and Congress is expected to vote on the bill later in the day.  House Republicans have taken issue with the package including $45 billion more in military defense aid for Ukraine.  McCarthy is calling for an end to “blank checks” to Ukraine, while McConnell wants to continue funding Ukraine’s defense.
