Transgender Agenda Losing Ground Among Americans: Poll

Objectivity 4.6 | Credibility 4.7 | Relevance 4.8

Fewer Americans support the transgender agenda in 2022 than in 2016, especially permitting men to use women’s restrooms, according to a poll published by the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI). The poll finds that in 2022 “Americans are 17 percentage points more likely to favor” policies that require transgender individuals to use restrooms based on their sex at birth than in 2016. The poll also finds that Americans of all political views have become less supportive of the transgender agenda, including registered independents completely changing their positions.
