Peru President Dina Boluarte will be replacing the country’s prime minister after just a week and looking for replacements for the ministers of education and culture who have resigned. Boluarte said, “We’ll be reshaping the Cabinet, maybe it will be a more technical Cabinet, but also one that’s a little more political to be able to create these bridges for dialogue.” Boluarte is seeking to rebuild the government after former President Pedro Castillo was removed from office and arrested after attempting to dissolve the Congress. However, since her appointment, Peru has been rocked with protests calling on Boluarte to resign and for new elections to be held.
