Incoming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview that a normalization treaty with Saudi Arabia could also solve the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.  Netanyahu said, “I think we can end the Arab-Israeli conflict and achieve peace with the Palestinians, we just have to be creative about it.”  Netanyahu’s statement comes a week after Israel President Isaac Herzog traveled to Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates in which the possibility of closer Israeli-Saudi ties was discussed.
