The Kremlin announced on Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not hold his annual end-of-year press conference this year. “As for the big press conference, yes, it won’t happen before the New Year” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters without any explanation for Putin’s decision. Since he came to power in 2000, Putin has held an annual year-end press conference, inviting Russian and foreign journalists in December.
