Iran on Monday publicly executed a second prisoner for his alleged crime amid the nationwide protests against the country’s theocracy. Majidreza Rahnavard, convicted for stabbing two paramilitary force officers after becoming enraged at their killing of protesters, was publicly hung from a construction crane as a fearful warning to other protesters. According to Human Rights Activists in Iran, at least 488 protesters have been killed since the nationwide demonstrations started in mid-September.
