Moore County, North Carolina, experienced a mass power outage that affected 41,000 Duke Energy customers on December 3 after 7pm, as well as parts of Hoke County.  The incident is being investigated as “intentional vandalism” and a “criminal occurrence,” Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said in a Facebook post.  Duke Energy spokesman Jeff Brooks reported that his crews were experiencing “multiple equipment failures” which caused the blackouts, according to CNN.
