U.S. Fifth Circuit Court Strikes Down Obama-Era DHHS Trans Mandate

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.8

The U.S. Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeals has unanimously ruled in favor of the Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA).  CMDA was fighting a 2016 U.S. Department of Health and Human Services mandate which would punish religious doctors and hospitals who refused to perform gender transition surgeries or abortions because it violates their conscience and best medical judgment.  The Biden Administration has declined to petition the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case. A similar case is currently before the Eight Circuit Court of Appeals with a decision expected in the next few weeks.
