India on Track to Become Third Largest Economy in the World

Projections from ratings agency S&P Global forecast India to surpass Japan and Germany as the world’s third-largest economy in the next decade.  S&P Global analysts reported, “These projections assume continued structural reforms, including trade and financial liberalization, infrastructure and human capital investment, and labor market reform.”  India currently conducts a surplus of trade with the U.S. but has a deficit in its trade with China.
