U.S. and Indian Army Conduct Joint Military Exercise Near Chinese Border

Objectivity 4.1 | Credibility 4.7 | Relevance 4.4

The Indian and U.S. military conducted a high-altitude training exercise in a mountainous terrain near India’s disputed border with China.  The “Yudh Abhyas” is an annual exercise that has alternated between the U.S. and India since the early 2000s when it started.  The exercise is being held 100 kilometers (62 miles) from the Line of Actual Control, a disputed border that separates Chinese and Indian-held territories.
