Turkish army units are almost ready for a ground invasion of northern Syria. The move comes two weeks after a bomb explosion in Istanbul killed six people and injured dozens. The Turkish government blames the blast on the Kurdish YPG militia which has denied involvement. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has said Turkey would be launching a land operation to secure its southern border. A Turkish army official said, “It won’t take long for the operation to begin. It depends only on the president giving the word.”
