Former Homeland Security Appointee Registers As Foreign Agent

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.8

Nina Jankowicz, the former White House appointee to head the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board, has registered as a foreign agent for a U.K. based non-profit.  During her short-lived position with the DHS, critics questioned her suitability for the job given her public stances on a variety of issues. The DHS halted the board’s activities after public controversy over its existence and Jankowicz resigned.  Her new position is with the Centre for Information Resilience, which according to its website is an “independent, non-profit social enterprise dedicated to countering disinformation, exposing human rights abuses, and combating online behavior harmful to women and minorities.”
