Iran’s state run media has announced that the country has begun enriching uranium to 60% purity at its underground Fordo nuclear facility. This is in addition to the uranium already being processed to 60% at Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility. Achieving 60% purity is one-step short of achieving what is considered to be weapons-grade uranium at 90% purity. Some experts believe that Iran already has enough 60% grade uranium to further refine and make at least one nuclear weapon.
