Federal Reserve Initiates Digital Dollar Project Following FTX Collapse

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York launched a cryptocurrency project on Tuesday alongside multiple major banks.  The digital dollar simulation, set for 12 weeks, will use tokenized assets to test the “feasibility of payments between financial institutions.”  The news of this project comes just days after the collapse of cryptocurrency company FTX, which prompted calls for regulations in the cryptocurrency industry.
