South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on Tuesday urged China to play “a more active, constructive role” in resolving North Korea’s nuclear threat in the region during his meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping at the G20 summit in Indonesia, Yoon’s office said. During the meeting, Xi said to Yoon that the two countries have common interests in the region and must pursue peace. Xi also said he hopes that South Korea will eagerly pursue a better relationship with North Korea.
