On Monday night Fox News projected Democrat Katie Hobbs as the next Governor of Arizona, winning over Republican Kari Lake. The results come one week after the crucial 2022 midterm elections, for which Arizona has been criticized nationally for delays in counting votes. Hobbs, Arizona’s Secretary of State, failed to recuse herself and oversaw the contentious election. However, per Arizona law, a recount may be triggered.
