Maricopa County’s Results Released: Lake Trailing Statewide

Results released from election officials in Maricopa County, Arizona, of 98,618 newly released ballots, showed 54.6 percent in favor of Republican Kari Lake and 45.4 percent in favor of Democrat Katie Hobbs.  According to the New York Times, as of 9pm Eastern on Sunday, with 93 percent of the total vote accounted for, Lake was trailing by 26,011 votes statewide.  Maricopa County election officials said in a press release that the remaining ballots to be counted, approximately 85,000-95,000, are expected to go in favor of Republican candidates.
