Israeli President Isaac Herzog is expected on Sunday to officially task Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with forming Israel’s next government.  Herzog consulted with the leaders of parties which cleared the threshold in the recent election on who should be chosen for the task.  Once officially commissioned, Netanyahu will have 28 days to negotiate with the leaders of the three religious parties which, when combined with his own Likud party, control 64 seats of the 120-seat Knesset.  Netanyahu is hoping that he can conclude the negotiations by November 15th, when the Knesset next meets.
