The Global Times, China’s state-run news outlet, forecast on Wednesday that the GOP gaining control of the U.S. House of Representatives was “highly likely to trigger an impeachment” against President Joe Biden after Tuesday’s midterm elections. The Global Times also predicted “further chaos and division” regardless of which party wins the remaining races. “The GOP wants Biden to live with an ‘impeached’ label,” Diao Daming, Associate Professor of Renmin University of China in Beijing, told the Global Times Tuesday.
