As neither incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA), nor Republican challenger Herschel Walker won a majority vote in the Georgia Senate race, a runoff will be held on December 6. With a difference of around 35,000 raw votes, Warnock was leading over Walker by .9 percent as roughly 98% of the expected votes came in. A little more than 81,000 ballots were cast for Libertarian candidate Chase Oliver giving him 2.1 percent of the vote, but he will not be in the runoff. The result of the contest between Warnock and Walker in Georgia, along with results from Arizona and Nevada, will determine where the balance of power will rest in the U.S. Senate.
