Kyiv Braces For Difficult Winter

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has warned Kyiv’s 3 million residents to prepare for a difficult winter, including having no electricity, water or heat available. With Russia targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, there have been power outages and rolling blackouts according to Ukrenergo, the country’s energy operator.  Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that 4.5 million Ukrainians are now without electricity.  Zelenskyy also said in his nightly address to the country, “We must get through this winter and be even stronger in the spring than now.”
