A spokesperson for British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said in response to a reporter’s question that there are “no plans” to move Britain’s embassy to Israel from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem. The spokesperson went on to emphasize that it was the previous British government that had considered the move. In 2018, President Donald Trump, in a controversial move, recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and moved the American Embassy there. Since then, only Kosovo, Honduras, and Guatemala have followed suit.
