Iranian ‘Security Forces’ Attack Students During Protests

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.6 | Relevance 4.6

Iranian security forces assaulted students among ongoing protests, even firing tear gas and live ammunition at them.  As the universities have become the chief center for protests, the Oslo-based group Iran Human Rights posted a video of a government official firing a pistol at a student and condemned “the encroachment of university campuses by armed plainclothes forces and violent crackdown on peaceful student protests.”  While the civic movement started demanding justice for the murder of Mahsa Amini, the protests have developed into demands for the total defeat of the Iranian theocracy.
