On the 40th day since the death of Mahsa Amini, tens of thousands of people demonstrated in Tehran, and all other major cities in Iran, with a new intensity. Video showing thousands of people marching and chanting, “down with the dictator,” a common slogan of the protests, have been appearing on social media. In Tehran, eyewitnesses say that police fired live rounds and tear gas into the crowds.  The Norway-based Iran Human Rights groups says that more than 234 protestors, with at least 29 of them being children, have been killed by Iranian police so far since the demonstrations began.
