9th Circuit Awards Planned Parenthood $2.4 million

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.8

A three-member panel from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has ordered David Daleidan and his team of pro-life activists to pay Planned Parenthood $2.4 million after they exposed that the organization was harvesting and selling baby parts.  Daleidan, with his team, went undercover and recorded conversations with Planned Parenthood officials who discussed how to best market the remains of aborted fetuses. The conversations were released in a series of videos in 2015. Daleidan’s organization, The Center for Medical Progress, along with the Liberty Council who represents Daleidan and his team, have called for an en banc review which would involve the entire 9th Circuit and could overturn the ruling of the three-judge panel.
