Objectivity 4.0 | Credibility 4.6 | Relevance 4.8

New York state Supreme Court ruled the COVID-19 vaccination mandate for all NYC staff, enacted in October 2021, was “arbitrary and capricious.”  As a result of the ruling, 16 Department of Sanitation employees were reinstated to full employment and will receive more than eight months of back pay.  Nearly 1,500 city employees were terminated for not complying with the mandate.  On Tuesday the court concluded, “The vaccination mandate for City employees was not just about safety and public health; it was about compliance.”
