New British PM On Record Declaring Jerusalem Capital Of Israel

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.8

Rishi Sunak, the new British Prime Minister, two months before taking office, made a statement that Jerusalem is “indisputably the historic capital” of Israel and that there is a strong case for moving Britain’s embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem.  In addition, he has previously written an article for a Jewish magazine that he would be in favor of a bill in parliament which would oppose the anti-Israel movement, Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions (BDS).  Despite the fact Sunak is a Hindu, there are those in Israel who have found his outlook on Israel to be reassuring.
