Shannon Brandt, 41, ran over and killed Cayler Ellingson, 18, with his car in McHenry, North Dakota, after a political argument. Ellingson had attended a street dance when he noticed that Brandt was following him, according to InForum. Brandt claimed that Ellingson had been part of a “Republican extremist group” and had ordered others to come after him. Brandt could face 10 to 20 years in prison, but the sentence could be longer if more serious charges are brought against him.
