A series of earthquakes have shaken the island nation of Taiwan over the weekend. Dozens of quakes ranging from minor to magnitudes of 6.4 and 6.8 centered around the island’s southeastern coast. One person has been killed and many others injured. Over 400 people were trapped due to landslides, dozens of buildings have been damaged or even collapsed, and a passenger train was knocked off its rails. Thousands are without power and other utility infrastructures have also been damaged.
