Christian Teacher Victorious In Preferred Pronouns Case

Objectivity 4.7 | Credibility 4.9 | Relevance 4.8

After being punished for refusal to use a transgender student’s preferred pronoun and name, Kansas teacher Pamela Ricard sued Geary County School District after receiving a reprimand. The Court closed the issue with a final settlement of $95,000. The school district will also have to cover Ricard’s legal fees as well as clearing her professional record.  “Tyson Langhofer, the director of the Alliance Defending Freedom Center for Academic Freedom, said his religious liberty law firm is hopeful the case has a ripple effect, according to the Kansas City Star.” After seeing the victory of this case, it brings hope for our crumbling justice system.
