Sarah Palin has lost the special election held to fill the Alaskan Congressional seat that was left empty after the death of long time Alaskan Representative Don Young. Democrat Mary Peltola will serve out the remaining few months of Young’s term becoming the first Alaska native to serve in Congress and woman to serve as Representative for Alaska. However, Palin, along with Peltola and Republican Nick Begich will face each other again in the general election in November.
