Overwhelmed by busloads of migrants from Texas arriving in New York City, city officials are unable to provide an intake center and hotel rooms.  Josh Goldfein, a lawyer with the homeless rights advocacy division at Legal Aid said, “We were already facing a crisis of homelessness in New York City when the flow of these migrant families started in earnest.”  “If [Adams] can’t find a place for [the migrants] to go, it looks like he can’t manage. Throw it on top of the crime pile, and it looks like he can’t control the city” political consultant Hank Sheinkopf said of Mayor Eric Adams.
