At a peaceful protest in the Dutch city of Almelo on Monday, police used force on a group of farmers protesting over the removal of an anti-governmental mural.  An order from Mayor Arjen Gerritsen was issued to remove the mural which displays the words “no farmers, no food” and an inverted Dutch flag, a symbol of the farmer protest movement.  As protestors gathered to defend the mural, police were filmed beating back the crowd with batons, according to footage shared by Dutch newspaper De Twentsche Courant Tubantia.
