On Monday after staging a sit-in at Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s office, six congressional staffers were arrested.  The activists were calling on Schumer to reopen negotiations with Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), who withdrew from a climate deal earlier this month.  Saul Levin, a policy advisor to Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.), tweeted, “We’re asking Senator Schumer to negotiate like this is the coldest summer of the rest of our lives (it is).”
