Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is facing criticism after she suggested that there should be “a drag queen for every school.” The comments were made during a civil rights summit in Lansing, Michigan, on Wednesday. Matt DePerno, the Republican candidate for attorney general responded, “Dana Nessel continues to show just how completely out of touch she is with Michiganders.” Tudor Dixon, the Republican candidate for Michigan governor, also criticized the comments, “When I am governor, schools will answer to local parents, not progressive activists, drag queens, and trans-supremacists,”
