Oklahoma HB 4245, passed on March 23, 2022, requires athletes to be of the same biological sex to participate in female sports teams at public schools or universities. The bill states, “Athletic teams designated for ‘females,’ ‘women’ or ‘girls’ shall not be open to students of the male sex.†A signed affidavit is required for children under 18 as confirmation of their biological sex by the parent or legal guardian.
