The mayor of Canada’s capital city declared a state of emergency after truckers from all across the country congregated in Ottawa to protest COVID-19 rules. Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson said, “Declaring a state of emergency reflects the serious danger and threat to the safety and security of residents posed by the ongoing demonstrations…” The Freedom Convoy has become a mass protest against the Canadian government over coronavirus regulations and vaccine mandates.
