California Lawmakers Propose Legislation That Targets Gun Manfactures and Dealers

Objectivity 4.2 | Credibility 4.5 | Relevance 4.8

Three California lawmakers will introduce legislation hoping to allow local governments and victims of gun violence to sue gun businesses whose products are used in the execution of crimes. The legislators’ argument and attempt to disarm citizens will be what they claim is a loophole in a 2005 federal law. This attempt comes as part of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s push to create legislation similar to Texas law that allows private citizens to sue abortion providers. Gun rights organizations will execute legal actions to stop the unwarranted pursuit that violates citizens’ Second Amendment rights.
