Apple CEO Tim Cook signed a $275 billion agreement with China six years ago after promising that Apple will develop China’s economy and technological prowess through investments, business deals, and worker training. In addition, Apple said they would use more components from Chinese suppliers in its devices, collaborate on technology with Chinese universities, sign deals with Chinese software firms, and directly invest in Chinese tech companies.
